At Perkins School for the Blind, we transform lives by helping children with disabilities find their place in the world. As a leader in education for children with visual impairments and multiple disabilities—including deafblindness, Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI), and CHARGE syndrome—we provide services tailored to every need, from infancy to adulthood. Our culture is rooted in strong relationships with students, families, and school districts. Individualized instruction is delivered through a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach. On our historic 38-acre campus, day and residential students thrive in a dynamic environment; experts implement the Expanded Core Curriculum, focusing on academics, independent living, technology, and vocational training. Beyond the classroom, itinerant teachers and deafblind specialists support students across New England, while our Transition Center prepares students nationwide for college and careers. Life Launch, our new residential transition program, prepares students with disabilities to live and work as independently as possible.
