The Arlington School is a private, therapeutic high school that provides specialized college preparatory educational services, clinical supports and transition planning to adolescents with substantial psychiatric needs. Arlington School's program offers a wide range of challenging academic courses; individual and small group academic work is provided in English, Creative Writing, Math, History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy & Physiology, Psychology, French, Art, Media Arts, Performing Arts, Photography, Physical Education, Research, Film, Health, Study Skills as well as rotating electives. The clinical staff includes social workers, clinical psychologists and interns. Additional consultation with McLean Hospital psychiatric staff is available to students. Clinical services provided include weekly individual school counseling, crisis intervention, milieu and group counseling, and ongoing collaboration with family and community treatment teams.
