Educational programming is based upon the principles of ABA and includes individually-designed instruction, the use of positive reinforcement, teaching in small steps, assessing the function of problem behaviors, and the regular review of data on student performance. Speech, occupational, and physical therapy are available to students. The Center for Employment Training promotes community integration, independence and meaningful employment for adolescents and young adults. Residential students live in one of 9 community residences located in local neighborhoods. Goals at the homes include community skills, personal hygiene, home care, and leisure time. There are 2 school buildings located on the main campus with more than 30 large, bright classrooms equipped with the latest technology. The facility includes a large gym, art and music rooms, a technology room, vocational training rooms, and a beautiful outdoor play area with a new splash pad.
