NLG's mission is to enable children and adults with Autism to function with the greatest possible productivity and independence in the community, home, and workplace throughout their lives. NLG provides outstanding, individualized education, training and intervention utilizing the scientifically validated principles of Applied Behavior Analysis delivered by highly trained and supervised teaching staff. Each student's goals are customized to their needs in the areas of appropriate behavior, communication, speech and language, social skills, academics, daily living skills, and, for students 14 and older, vocational skills. Functional assessments conducted by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) are used to develop comprehensive behavior management plans that address the causes of inappropriate behavior using prevention, environmental modifications, teaching communication skills and appropriate replacement behaviors, and providing reinforcement for appropriate behavior. At NLG, students become engaged and successful learners!
