Solstice Day School employs a relationship-based model, integrating strong academic curriculum and trauma-informed, therapeutic supports. Students establish a defined sense of self, build academic skills, utilize healthy coping strategies, and acquire skills for college and career readiness. With a population of 31 students, Solstice tailors expectations for work production and delivers differentiated classroom instruction to meet the needs of each student, building upon strengths & skills. Clinicians and allied health staff work closely with faculty, parents and community providers, ensuring the highest quality service delivery. Rurally located, Solstice overlooks Plum Island & the ocean. Facets of the school include: small class size, individualized multimodal learning, 216-day school year-7 week experiential summer term, Clinical groups & individual counseling, College & career counseling, Pre-vocational services, Life skills classes, Extended evaluations, Expressive therapies, On-site nursing, Parent Advisory Group, Experiential learning, and Dual-enrollment with local colleges.
