Database Developer – Build Something That Lasts
Swansea, MA | Part-Time
Hours – 20/week (days and times negotiable)
Payrate – $35.00/hr – $38.46/hr, depending upon experience

If you like solving puzzles, making sense of complex systems, and turning legacy tools into something people actually enjoy using, we have a job you will love. Stevens Treatment Programs is looking for a part-time Database Developer to help us take our FileMaker systems from functional to fantastic.

You will dig into our current setup, streamline and connect multiple databases, and build a cleaner, faster, and easier system for our team. The work is challenging, creative, and satisfying. When you are done, you will know you built something that makes life easier for staff who are here to care for youth.

What You’ll Do
• Assess and document our current FileMaker setup
• Redesign and unify approximately 20 legacy databases into one program-based system
• Migrate data and workflows to FileMaker 2024 with accuracy and security
• Create a modern and easy-to-use database UI for staff
• Automate tasks, build scripts, and set secure permissions
• Ensure HIPAA, FERPA, and PPI compliance in all systems
• Maintain and improve the overall database systems and structures
• Train staff and provide clear documentation
• Create reporting tools that help leadership make decisions
• Support all databases and database development on an ongoing basis

What We’re Looking For
• Experience developing and managing relational databases (FileMaker experience mandatory)
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to take a project from start to finish
• Clear communication skills for working with non-technical staff
• Ability to balance independent work with collaboration
• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s with relevant experience
