Stevens-Children’s Home, Inc. has been serving adolescent boys since 1939. The Chapter 766 approved Special Education Day and Residential Schools are co-located on 24-acres in historic Swansea. Small classrooms provide students a customized education which allows them to meet state requirements and reach their learning potential. Stevens is a leader in specialized residential treatment for adolescent males. Stevens is a nationally accredited organization that serves youth with significant emotional and behavioral needs, including those with a history of problematic sexual behaviors, inappropriate use of fire, and complex trauma. Comprehensive clinical treatment, education and a therapeutic residential milieu together create a supportive, structured and safe environment in order to facilitate healing and growth. Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) provides the trauma-informed framework for services. Our approach teaches youth individualized skills to succeed at home, school, and community; to make positive life choices; and develop healthy and safe relationships.
