Seaport Academy is a small, specialized 766-approved school for boys in Grades 8 to 12 who have not achieved their goals in a traditional school setting. Our size, unique maritime curriculum and Boston-Waterfront location make this a highly desirable program for experiential learners. KEY PROGRAM AREAS: ACADEMIC: Project-based with intensive learning supports CLINICAL SERVICES: Focusing on personal growth and self-regulation COLLABORATIVE PROBLEM-SOLVING: A partnership-approach to conflict resolution RESTORATIVE PRACTICES: A partnership-approach to conflict resolution TRANSITION SERVICES: Intensive preparation for life after high school Our students have experiences they may have missed previously–from excelling in math to becoming a leader in a community that values their ideas and achievement. They integrate learning with web-based tools, and hands-on learning from experimenting with aquaculture to community projects. With a curriculum aligned with the goals of the Mass. Curriculum Frameworks, we help students advance successfully to college or careers.
