Reed Academy is a small 12 month (216 days) therapeutic day school for boys with social/emotional/behavioral issues located in Framingham. Reed uses a multi-modal approach with wraparound services that encompass certified special educators, clinicians, administrators, families, and outside agencies. The staff offers evidence based, meaningful instruction for each student formulated from their IEP, along with intensive individual, group and family therapies. Reed's RN works with families and outside agencies to ensure the health of all students.
Reed staff provides unique hands-on and traditional classroom learning experiences. Cooking, organic gardening, SEL group meetings, swimming at our pool, and hiking at nearby Callahan State Park helps students develop academic and real-life skills. Also built in are practicing problem solving, self-regulation, pragmatics, and pro-social coping strategies.
Reed has a proven track record with over 50 years of working to inspire children to enjoy learning in a creative environment while allowing the freedom for individual development.
