https://cccbsd.org/ BSD offers the following special educational programming: Early Intervention, Integrated Preschool, Elementary/Middle School, Pre-vocational/Vocational, After School, year round programming, and district consult. Language and communication development is emphasized throughout all aspects of a student's day. BSD utilizes a variety of communication strategies for teaching and learning in line with the students' primary mode of communication: English (verbal/written), American Sign Language (Bilingual education), and low to high tech AAC systems including but not limited to: PECS, PODD, speech generating devices, iTechnology, or eye gaze devices. Programming is individualized to assist all students to develop independent communication skills. Methods of instruction make extensive use of visual, tactile, vocal, auditory support. BSD is a therapeutic setting and offers the following services: Speech/ Language, OT, PT, BCBA, Vocational/Transitional, APE, and Nursing. Additionally, enrichment activities include art, music, STEAM and specialty school wide events.
