St. Ann’s Education Program serves as a school program for children and adolescents, (5-17), who have significant emotional, behavioral, social, and/or academic support needs. Children who are accepted show the following types of difficulties: hyperactivity, aggression, withdrawal, anxiety, poor social skills, poor relationships with authority figures and peers, mood disorders, immature behaviors, poor academic development, Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The day treatment program at St. Ann’s is in operation for 180 days per year, and St. Ann’s also operates a 36-day summer program.
The education teams are made up of teachers, teaching assistants, clinicians, nurses and other specialists. The classroom ratios at St. Ann’s are 12:2.
All of the education programs at St. Ann’s Home are approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as an educational facility for children with special needs under Massachusetts G.L. Chapter 766.
