Devereux's private day and residential school provides special education and treatment for youth ages 6-22 including diagnostic and assessment services, extended evaluation and placement options. Devereux is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is recognized by the Human Rights Campaign for supporting and serving LGBTQ youth and families and is licensed by DESE. The small classroom size has 9 students or less and a 1:4.5 residential ratio. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, Applied Behavior Analysis, Trauma-informed Care and Dialectical Behavior Therapy increase skill building and pro-social behavior and decrease maladaptive behaviors. Devereux embraces Building Bridges where family engagement opportunities are prioritized in an interdisciplinary team approach. Devereux’s 80 acre campus offers recreational activities, including Adventure Based Counseling, an Animal Care program, and vocational opportunities.
