The Dearborn Academy Summer Program is designed to meet the needs of students who need therapeutic and academic support as well as opportunities to socialize with friends, learn new skills, get outdoors and have fun! Our goals are to prevent academic regression and provide positive social experiences both on and off campus. Field trips are scheduled four times a week and include museum visits, hiking, swimming, college tours, volunteer opportunities and more! On-campus activities include field day, water games, kickball, music, art, woodworking and horticulture. Dearborn Academy’s Summer Program team includes licensed special educators and clinicians, a speech and language pathologist, a certified Wilson reading specialist and support staff. Our six-week Summer Program serves current Dearborn Academy students whose IEPs include extended-year services as well as new students who plan to enroll in the following year's program.
